My childhood pal, Louie Marcoux who just passed at 83, introduced me to the Hound in 1955. We became members of his club and as I recall in my hazy memory, we carried membership cards in our wallets.

I remember the Hound saying – 555 William St, on the street – –

WKBW was one of a few stations playing R&B and rock by black artists in those days – days of big sax, it was great.

I wouldn’t go to sleep at night until the Hound played 7-11 by the Gone All Stars. It was great growing up at the beginning of R&R – something I have enjoyed all my life!
