I’m writing on behalf of my Mom, Kathleen O’Keefe, who died last month. She used to listen to the Hound as a teenager in the 50’s in Olean, NY. She would listen under the covers at night so her parents wouldn’t hear “that music.” The Hound really gave her a musical education, and prepared her to welcome Rock and Roll with open arms when it finally arrived. 50 years later, memory fading, she could still quote the intro to the show, and even remembered that it came from the Zanzibar!
