I was pretty young, and my oldest brother was the one who was “into” the rock and roll. He would go to Sophies Bar on Baitz Ave. to “jam” with the likes of Bob Desoto who’s only claim to fame was “Don’t talk, just kiss”. But I used to deliver the Buffalo Evening News and on at least one occasion, remember the Hound coming out of his Nash Rambler, the back of which was loaded with 45’s and 78’s. Those were the good ole days: feel good music and happy times. I have never forgotten his theme song, The Big Heavy.
